Nature is Wrought

This body of sculptural work explores the tension between the natural and industrial worlds through the physical dialogue of carved wood and forged steel. Wood, shaped by hand yet marked by its organic history, contrasts with steel formed through heat, force, and industrial process. Brought together, these materials reflect the competing systems that define contemporary landscapes—growth and extraction, resilience and control. The sculptures function as sites of negotiation, where natural form and human intervention intersect, revealing both conflict and interdependence in our relationship with the environment.
